Episode Notes

Shownotes: www.unpackingdesign.com/32

Never focus on designing projects solely to please others. Tim says that creative projects should be developed through the design process and ideas should come from within the designer. By focusing and applying what we know and believe in, our projects will reflect ideas that are true to us and solve the larger issues that are encountered through the process.

Mike discusses the choices that designers have to make in every project and emphasizes that these choices are driven by the best solution to the problems that we’re given and encounter along the way.

Until we, as designers, are able to overcome our self-doubt, we’ll continually encounter moments where our doubts make us give up our pursuit of potential projects, design ideas, and innovative solutions to the issues we encounter. How can you get over your self-doubt?

Find out how Mike and Tim overcome their moments of self-doubt and stay focused on their design projects in this episode.
