What alternatives do designers have to earn additional money on the side? One is elancing where designers can find potential clients on websites like Upwork and Fiverr and provide design services for a fee. In this episode, Mike and Tim talk about the possibilities that come with online platforms focusing around elancing.

Tim starts this episode off by talking about his latest exploration in the world of elancing using a platform called Upwork that allows creatives to offer their services to potential clients all over the world. He explains how these systems work from clients posting their jobs for designers to apply for (very similar to request for proposals). Mike and Tim get into a debate about moonlighting and whether this would be looked down upon if one is employed at a firm and Tim’s idea of business to business based services.
