How does the user interface and experience of apps and their relationships to other devices influence the amount of time people spend on them? Do accurate algorithms based on personal preferences and recommended content from crowd sourced information make us more attentive?

In this episode, Mike and Tim talk about the user interface and experience of Netflix as well as its smart algorithms that make accurate movie recommendations for users. From its simple to find movie trailers that appear when one hovers over the cover of a movie to the seamless interoperability between devices, Netflix is designed to make it as easy as possible for users to stay connected and be able to pick up from where they left off.

Later in the episode, Mike and Tim talk about some of their favorite movies and shows on Netflix. They get into a discussion about other similar platforms such as Spotify and Masterclass with respect to algorithms and high quality videos and engagement.
