Ever wonder how planning an upcoming year and coming up with goals looks like for a designer? From reflecting and learning through the experiences from the previous year to reviewing their person visions for 2020, Mike and Tim talk about their design goals for the upcoming year in this episode of Design Life.

Tim starts this episode off with his theme for 2020, which will be a year of exploration and learning. He was inspired by Anna Wintour’s Masterclass where she talks about how creatives should always be sharing their work, have a perspective on the world, and being unapologetically true to who they are as a person. His focus for 2020 will be to design 6 architecture projects with the theme, design different, and also transitioning Mars Leather Company to being a tutorial focused blog in lieu of a retail shop.

Mike will be focusing on developing his book on the topic of burnout for creative professionals in the upcoming year. He talks about a vision board that he created for himself that consisted of 7 different objects including books that he’s using as precedents and motivation for writing his book.

Join us as we talk about our biggest goals for 2020, how we came up with them, and why they matter to us in this episode of Design Life.
