If you had all the money in the world, what problems would you work to solve? From curing polio in Africa to attempting to eliminate deaths in 3rd world countries related to diarrhea due to waterborne illnesses from lack of bathroom facilities, the Gates Foundation has been focused on solving some of the biggest issues around the world.

In this episode, Tim talks about a documentary on Netflix called Inside Bill’s Brain that follows Bill Gates as he works with Melinda and his foundation to brainstorm and act on resolutions to some of the biggest issues around the world. The documentary includes interviews with Gates where he is asked difficult questions related to Microsoft and his personal life.

Mike and Tim discuss the way that the Gates Foundation has identified the problems that they want to focus on, brainstormed an idea for where the issues arise, and brought together teams of experts from various fields to develop new technologies to solve the problems as quickly as possible.
