One of the most important strategies for growing and getting the most out of our careers is to find mentors who can guide us through their personal experiences of the events we’re about to encounter in our lives and careers. On the opposite end, being a mentor for others allows us to look at our lives in retrospect as we help others find the right paths to take in their lives.

Oftentimes, we get caught up in the minutiae of the things that are less important in our lives and careers that eventually leads us to feeling stuck. We begin to ask ourselves questions like, “How do I get my first job out of school?”, “How can I become a manager?”, “Should I start focusing on growing my family?”, “How do I start my own firm?”.

It’s at these moments of our lives when we really need to lean on someone else who has more experience than we do in those specific areas of the profession. The benefit of having multiple mentors is that we can ask them specific questions that they can relate to and share their insights.

Join us as we share our thoughts on the importance of mentorship and how you can get involved in their design community!
